Description
Large curved horn with silver mounts and a braided carrying cord. One side is decorated with an applied armorial cartouche: a female bust in profile, a tournament helmet, scrolling foliage and a flower. The mount and engraving are in a late-historicist style (neo-baroque / neo-rococo), typical for Central-European ceremonial and hunting objects from the late 19th–early 20th century. The horn itself is nicely polished and the silverwork has a good, lively line – not tourist-level, more the quality you’d expect from a serious hunting or shooting society gift.
