Grote zittende Guanyin-figuur in gesculpteerd en gepolychromeerd hout, in de klassieke “water-moon” houding: één been opgetrokken, arm nonchalant gesteund, gelaat sereen. De oorspronkelijke polychromie in zachte groen-, oker- en roodtinten is voor een groot deel bewaard en geeft het beeld een prachtig, doorleefd patina. Met zijn royale maat (ca. H102 × B96 × D50 cm) is dit een statement-stuk voor een hal, trapbordes of meditatieruimte.
